biography of artist tiffany durling B.A.[Hons] P.G.C.E

I originally worked in illustration and then qualified as an Art Teacher in my twenties. It wasn't until I took a career break to bring up my children fifteen years later, that I found time to really enjoy painting again. I started exhibiting work locally and haven't looked back!

I have always loved photographing weathered wood, twisted tree roots, rusted metal posts and rockpool formations found particularly on the coast. It is these elements of nature that particularly inspire my art.

I now enjoy painting in a semi abstract way, using acrylic on canvas, or mixed media, interpreting the lines and organic forms found in nature. I generally work in multiple layers and allow the work to evolve on the canvas.
